Youth Programs

We believe in investing in our future by empowering young leaders, helping them learn leadership skills, and giving them opportunities to have cross-cultural experiences.

Rotary Youth Exchange​

Rotary Youth Exchange promotes international understanding and lifelong friendships by letting young people see another part of the world. Exchanges can be long-term or short-term. Short-term exchanges last from a few days to several months and often take place when school is not in session. Students typically stay with a local family in the host country, but they might also attend a youth camp or tour the country with other foreign students. During a long-term exchange, students spend a year in another country, attending school and living with host families.

Interact​

Interact clubs give young people the chance to work together and have fun while learning about service and promoting international understanding. Each club is required to complete at lest two major projects each year, one to serve the community and the other to promote international understanding.

Book Fair and Reading Programs​

Every year, Corcoran Rotary partners with John C. Fremont School to ensure that every child receives a complimentary book at the book fair. To date, Rotary has donated over 8,000 books to Corcoran students. In addition, Rotarians have the opportunity to read books to classes to help enrich their weekly learning programs.

Vocational Scholarships​

Each year, the Corcoran Rotary Club offers two $250 scholarships available to Corcoran High School students who wish to attend vocational training.

Youth Sports and Organization Sponsorships​

Each year, the Corcoran Rotary Club sponsors several sports teams, provides donations to organizations hosting events that benefit our youth and also sponsors several community events and projects. Corcoran Little League, Corcoran High School Sober Grad Committee, Corcoran Chamber of Commerce, Corcoran Christmas Tree Committee, Corcoran Farmers' & Artisans' Markets are just to name a few past partnerships.

Athlete of the Year Awards​

Partnering with the Corcoran High School Athletics Deparment, Corcoran Rotary provides plaques to four outstanding young athletes at the awards ceremony annually.

Camp Royal​

Camp Royal is a Rotary Leadership Camp where young community members learn how to thrive in leadership roles. To date, Corcoran Rotary has sent over 120 Corcoran students to the annual camp.
